Biography
Nicole Jescinth Smith, also credited as Nicky Smith, is a costume designer working in television, film and theatre.
She holds a BFA in Theatrical Costume Design from the University of Miami (2003) and an MFA from the University of Tennessee (2006). Her credits include costume design on the HBO series The Chair Company (2025) and Up Here (2023), as well as work on Pose (2018), for which she received a Primetime Emmy nomination for period costumes on season two, Ramy (2022) and Kindred (2022). Earlier roles include costume and wardrobe department positions on The Americans and Hit & Run.
In theatre, Smith has assisted on Broadway productions including Venus in Fur and has designed for companies such as the Alley Theatre (Fences, 2025–2026 season) and the Denver Center for the Performing Arts (Godspeed, 2026).
