Biography

Niels Bruno Schmidt is a German actor. Born in 1975 in Berlin, he has appeared in numerous films and television series since 1993.

He won the Adolf-Grimme-Preis in 1994 for his role in the television film Schicksalsspiel. Schmidt gained further recognition for his performance in the 2000 film Schule alongside Daniel Brühl. He has also had a recurring role as a commissioner in the series Der Elefant – Mord verjährt nie and appeared in Autobahnraser (2004).

Schmidt is known for playing Jan Carl Raspe in The Baader Meinhof Complex (2008) and for roles in Pandorum (2009) and episodes of series such as Tatort and Dogs of Berlin.
