Biography
Nigel Bluck is a New Zealand cinematographer whose work spans feature films and television in New Zealand, Australia and the United States.
He studied at the Elam School of Fine Arts in Auckland and the Australian Film Television and Radio School. His first feature as director of photography was Stickmen (2001). He later served as second-unit cinematographer on the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Bluck is known for The Peanut Butter Falcon (2019), Tigertail (2020), The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (2022) and Lilo & Stitch (2025). He received Best Cinematography awards from the Film Critics Circle of Australia and the IF Awards for The Home Song Stories (2007), and has shot episodes of True Detective.
