Biography
Nima Taleghani is a British actor and playwright. He was born on 24 October 1992 in North London and studied English literature at the University of Warwick before completing a master's degree at University College London.
Taleghani has appeared in numerous stage productions, including several directed by Jamie Lloyd such as Cyrano de Bergerac (2019) and Romeo and Juliet. He has also performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company in The Merry Wives of Windsor and Romeo and Juliet. On screen, his credits include the role of Bijan in the film Femme (2023), Mazin in Danny Boy (2021), and Mr Farouk in the Netflix series Heartstopper (2022–) and its follow-up Heartstopper Forever (2026).
As a playwright, Taleghani wrote a rap-infused adaptation of The Bacchae, which in 2025 became the first debut play staged at the National Theatre's Olivier Theatre.
