Biography
Nina Arianda is an American actress. Born Nina Arianda Matijcio on 18 September 1984 in Manhattan, New York, she grew up in Clifton, New Jersey, and Heidelberg, Germany. She earned a BA from the New School and an MFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2009.
Arianda made her Broadway debut in the 2011 revival of Born Yesterday and originated the role of Vanda Jordan in the Off-Broadway production of Venus in Fur (2010), which transferred to Broadway in 2011. She won the 2012 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play for the latter and received a 2011 nomination for the former.
Her film credits include Midnight in Paris (2011) as Carol, Tower Heist (2011), Florence Foster Jenkins (2016) as Agnes Stark, Stan & Ollie (2018) as Ida Kitaeva Laurel, and Richard Jewell (2019) as Nadya. On television she has appeared in Hannibal (2013) as Molly Graham, Billions (2016) as Rebecca Cantu, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017) as Hedy.
