Biography
Niv Fichman is an Israeli-Canadian film and television producer. He founded Rhombus Media in Toronto in 1979 while studying at York University, initially with Barbara Willis Sweete, and the company has since produced numerous feature films and arts programmes.
He has produced films including The Red Violin (1998), Enemy (2014), Possessor (2020) and BlackBerry (2023). Fichman has won multiple Canadian Screen Awards and Genie Awards for Best Motion Picture, including for BlackBerry in 2024. In 2026 he was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada.
