Biography
Nive Nielsen is a Greenlandic actress and singer-songwriter. An Inuk from Nuuk, she is known for her acting roles as an Inuit woman in The New World (2005), Lady Silence / Silna in the series The Terror (2018), Atiqtalik in Togo (2019), Anna in The North Water (2021), and Uki in Washington Black (2025).
As a musician she fronts the band Nive and the Deer Children, with whom she has released albums including Nive Sings! (2012) and Feet First (2015). She began her music career after receiving a small guitar-ukulele and gave her first concert for Margrethe II of Denmark.
