Biography
Nobuo Kaneko (27 March 1923 – 20 January 1995) was a Japanese actor. He began his career with the Bungakuza theatre troupe in 1946 and made his film debut that year in Urashimano Kōei. He appeared in more than 200 films between 1946 and 1993.
Kaneko played Mitsuo Watanabe, the son of Kanji, in Akira Kurosawa's Ikiru (1952). He is also known for his role as Yoshio Yamamori in the Battles Without Honor and Humanity series (1973–1974) and for portraying Home Affairs Minister Isomura in The Return of Godzilla (1984) and Godzilla 1985 (1985). He was married to actress Yatsuko Tanami.
