Biography
Norihiro Isoda is a Japanese production designer and art director. He trained at Daiei Tokyo Studio and made his debut as a production designer in 1987 on Mei Kato's Oba-ke-chan.
Isoda has worked extensively with director Takeshi Kitano, serving as production designer or art director on films including Fireworks (1997), Kikujiro (1999), Brother (2000), Dolls (2002), Zatoichi (2003), Outrage (2010) and Outrage Coda (2017). Other credits include Swing Girls (2004), The Floating Castle (2012) and Rental Family (2025). He won the Japan Academy Prize for Best Art Direction for The Floating Castle.
