Biography
Norma Doggett was an American dancer and actress. Born in Chicago on 3 August 1925, she began her career as a dancer in Chicago clubs before moving to Broadway, where she appeared in musicals including Magdalena (1948), Miss Liberty (1949), Wish You Were Here (1952), Fanny (1954) and Bells Are Ringing (1956). She also served as understudy to performers such as Ethel Merman and Florence Henderson.
Her sole film credit was as Bride Martha in the MGM musical Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1954), directed by Stanley Donen. Doggett died in Forest Hills, Queens, New York City, on 4 May 2020.
