Biography
Norman G. Langley is a British cinematographer and camera operator. Born on 10 October 1935 in Highgate, London, he began his career in medical and documentary filmmaking before becoming freelance in 1970.
He served as lighting cameraman and director of photography on episodes of the series The Sweeney (1975) and The Professionals (1977), as well as other British television dramas including Danger UXB and Agatha Christie's Poirot. His feature credits as director of photography include Freelance (1971), House of the Long Shadows (1983) and Jekyll & Hyde (1990).
Langley also worked extensively as a camera operator on Hollywood productions such as Bird (1988), Oscar (1991) and Geronimo: An American Legend (1993). He received a BAFTA nomination for his work on the series Winston Churchill: The Wilderness Years (1981) and contributed to Emmy Award-winning segments for CBS's 60 Minutes.
