Biography
Norman Priggen (also credited as Spike Priggen) was a British film producer and assistant director. He began his career as an assistant director on several Ealing Studios productions, including Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949), The Lavender Hill Mob (1951) and The Cruel Sea (1953).
As a producer, Priggen worked frequently with director Joseph Losey. Their collaborations include The Servant (1963), King & Country (1964), Accident (1967), Secret Ceremony (1968) and The Go-Between (1971). Other production credits encompass Payroll (1961), Modesty Blaise (1966), The Assassination of Trotsky (1972) and Tales That Witness Madness (1973). He also served as executive producer on The Creeping Flesh (1973) and produced Freddie as F.R.O.7. (1992).
Priggen was born in London and died in Uckfield, East Sussex, in December 1999.
