Biography
Obeida Benavides is a Colombian actress, director and writer. She has appeared in film and television since the late 2000s, including roles in the series La Reina del Sur (2011) and Bolívar: Una lucha admirable (2019).
Her film credits include Jungle (2017) as Don Jorge's wife and The Padre (2018) as a clothing cashier. In the Netflix series One Hundred Years of Solitude (2024–2026) she plays the elderly Pilar Ternera.
Benavides also works as a playwright, teacher and researcher of the performing arts. She has directed and written short films, including Canción sencilla (2023).
