Biography
Oliver Curtis is a British cinematographer and member of the British Society of Cinematographers. He trained in photography at Filton Technical College in Bristol and studied film and television at the London College of Printing. Early work included documentaries, music videos and short films for the Arts Council of Great Britain and the BFI; his first feature was Madagascar Skin (1995).
Curtis shot the 1998 BBC miniseries Vanity Fair, for which he received a BAFTA nomination for best photography and lighting. His feature credits as director of photography include Love and Death on Long Island (1997), Owning Mahowny (2003), The Wedding Date (2005), Death at a Funeral (2007) and Unrelated (2007). Recent television work includes Stay Close (2021), Lockwood & Co. (2023) and The Buccaneers (2023).
