Biography
Olivier Bernet is a French composer and rock musician. He began writing music for film with the 2004 short Raging Blues and has since scored numerous features, often in collaboration with directors Vincent Paronnaud and Marjane Satrapi.
His best-known work includes the score for the animated film Persepolis (2007), for which he received a César nomination, an Annie Award nomination and the best music prize at the Stockholm Film Festival. He also composed for Chicken with Plums (2011), The Voices (2014) and Hunted (2021). Bernet, originally from Bordeaux, has lived in Berlin and previously performed in bands including Shunatao.
