Biography
Omar Elba is an Egyptian-American actor. Born on 19 September 1983 in Alexandria, Egypt, he is also known by the former credit Alexander Black.
Elba is known for his role as Yousef in A Hologram for the King (2016), Mark Green in the series Limetown (2019), Sameer Najjar in Mo (2022–2025), Selim in Berlin, I Love You (2019) and Zaki Faheem in an episode of NCIS: Los Angeles (2013). He wrote, directed and starred in the short film Tim (2016). He trained in Shakespeare at the American Conservatory Theater and has performed stand-up comedy.
