Biography
Owen Bush (10 November 1921 – 12 June 2001) was an American actor. Born in Savannah, Missouri, he began his career in radio as an announcer in the late 1940s and later worked as a sportscaster on WDAF-TV in Kansas City. There he met director Robert Altman while acting in industrial films, leading to a role in Altman's first feature, The Delinquents (1957).
Bush became a prolific character actor in film and television from the late 1950s onwards. His credits include an uncredited role as a policeman in Bonnie and Clyde (1967), the communications officer in Vanishing Point (1971), and appearances in series such as Bonanza, Gunsmoke and Get Smart. He also had recurring roles on the soap opera Passions and in the Prehysteria! films.
Bush continued working into the late 1990s and early 2000s, with film roles including The Last Starfighter (1984), What's Love Got to Do with It (1993) and Best Laid Plans (1999). His final screen work was in 2000.
