Biography
Owen McDonnell is an Irish actor born in Galway in 1974. He trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London and began his career in theatre before moving into television and film.
He gained prominence for his lead role as Garda Sergeant Jack Driscoll in the RTÉ series Single-Handed (2007–2010), earning an IFTA nomination. Subsequent television credits include Niko Polastri in Killing Eve (2018–2022), Ian Reilly in Bad Sisters (2022–), and roles in True Detective (2024) and Great Expectations (2023). He has also appeared in films such as Love & Gelato (2022) and stage productions including The Ferryman.
