Biography
Pablo Plaisted is an Australian visual effects artist, layout supervisor and cinematographer working primarily in animation. He began his career in Australia on the television series Stevie Stardust (1999–2000) before moving into animation and previs work at companies including Dr D Studios and Animal Logic.
Plaisted is known for his contributions to several Lego films. On The Lego Movie (2014) he served as both layout supervisor and director of photography. He later worked as pre-visualisation supervisor on The Lego Batman Movie (2017) and as associate layout supervisor on The Lego Ninjago Movie (2017). Earlier credits include senior animator on Happy Feet (2006) and lead previs artist on Mad Max: Fury Road (2015).
More recent work includes head of layout on The Monkey King (2023) and previs roles on films such as Blue Beetle (2023).
