Biography
Paloma Baeza is a Mexican-British actress and director. Born in London on 1 May 1975, she spent part of her childhood in Mexico before returning to England. She studied English and Performing Arts at the University of Bristol and began her career in London theatre and British television.
She is known for acting roles including Capa's Sister in Sunshine (2007), Bathsheba Everdene in Far from the Madding Crowd (1998), Melanthe in The Odyssey (1997), and Dinah in Joseph (1995). Baeza has also directed short films, including Poles Apart (2017), which won the BAFTA Award for Best Short Animation in 2018, and contributed a segment to the anthology film The House (2022).
Baeza is married to filmmaker Alex Garland.
