Biography
Pam Coats is an American animated film producer. Born in Utah, she holds a B.A. in fine arts from Utah State University and an M.A. in directing from the University of Oregon.
She began her career at Walt Disney Feature Animation as a production assistant in 1989. Coats produced the short films Trail Mix-Up (1993) and Runaway Brain (1995), and served as producer on the feature Mulan (1998), for which she received an Annie Award. In 1999 she was appointed senior vice president of creative development at Walt Disney Animation Studios, a role she held until 2004.
Later credits include producing Scoob! (2020) and Thelma the Unicorn (2024).
