Biography
Pat Walshe (1900–1991) was an American actor. He is best known for playing Nikko, the leader of the Winged Monkeys, in the film The Wizard of Oz (1939).
Born in New York City, he began performing as a child in vaudeville and appeared in several Broadway productions, including A Good Little Devil (1913) and Fine and Dandy (1930). He also worked in circuses and specialised in animal impersonations. His other film roles were uncredited parts in Pinky (1949) and Panic in the Streets (1950).
Walshe was the last surviving credited cast member of The Wizard of Oz at the time of his death in Los Angeles.
