Biography
Patrick Caddell was an American writer, producer and political consultant. He contributed story and teleplay credits to several episodes of the television series The West Wing (1999), including 'Five Votes Down', 'The Short List' and 'Lord John Marbury', and served as co-producer on 22 episodes during the second season. He also worked as a consultant on the series through its fourth season.
Caddell was born in Rock Hill, South Carolina, in 1950 and died in Charleston, South Carolina, in 2019. Before his television work he was a prominent public opinion pollster and campaign adviser, notably to Jimmy Carter during his successful 1976 presidential bid and subsequent campaigns. He later consulted on films including Outbreak (1995), Air Force One (1997) and In the Line of Fire (1993).
