Biography
Patrick Kennedy was an American film and television editor. He began his career delivering film cans at studios before becoming an assistant editor and progressing to editor. He worked on the Moviola and later transitioned to digital editing.
Kennedy is credited as editor on Airplane! (1980), Mr. Mom (1983), The Boy Who Could Fly (1986), Major Payne (1995) and other feature films including The Big Fix (1978) and Andre (1994). His television work includes the miniseries Barbarians at the Gate (1993) and various TV movies and series. He received two Primetime Emmy nominations and Eddie nominations for Chrysler Presents The Bob Hope Christmas Special (1969) and Barbarians at the Gate.
Born in Beaumont, California, Kennedy died on 11 January 2023 at his home in Porter Ranch, California.
