Biography
Paul A. Partain (22 November 1946 – 28 January 2005) was an American actor. Born in Austin, Texas, he is known for his role as Franklin Hardesty in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974).
Partain served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. After returning to the US he worked at an electronics manufacturing plant and a dinner theatre. His first film role was an uncredited part in Lovin' Molly (1974). He appeared in Race with the Devil (1975) and Rolling Thunder (1977) before largely stopping acting. He returned for small roles in the 1990s and 2000s, including a hospital orderly in The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1995) and an uncredited part in The Life of David Gale (2003).
