Biography
Paul Dickson (1920–2011) was a British director and writer. Born in Cardiff, he served in the Second World War before working as a cameraman and entering documentary filmmaking with World Wide Pictures. His early credits include the award-winning shorts The Undefeated (1951) and David (1951), made for the Festival of Britain.
Dickson directed episodes of several 1960s television series, including one episode of The Avengers (1968), three of Department S (1969) and five of The Champions (1968). He also worked in advertising and later served as head of direction at the National Film and Television School.
