Biography
Paul Douglas (born Paul Douglas Fleischer, 11 April 1907 – 11 September 1959) was an American actor. He began his career as a stage actor, making his Broadway debut in 1936 and winning both a Theatre World Award and a Clarence Derwent Award for his portrayal of Harry Brock in Born Yesterday (1946).
Douglas made his screen debut in 1949 as Porter Hollingsway in A Letter to Three Wives. He appeared in films including Panic in the Streets (1950), Executive Suite (1954) and The Maggie (1954). He hosted the 22nd Academy Awards in 1950 and also worked in radio and on television series such as Alfred Hitchcock Presents.
