Biography
Paul Hardcastle is a British composer, musician, record producer and multi-instrumentalist. Born in Kensington, London, he began his career in 1981 as keyboard player with the soul band Direct Drive before pursuing solo work.
He achieved mainstream success with the 1985 single "19", which reached number one in the UK. Hardcastle composed the score for the 1997 film Spice World and created theme music for British television series including Top of the Pops and Holiday.
