Biography
Paul Kurta is a producer and production manager. He began his career in film and television production in New York City, working as a freelance production manager and producer of commercials and documentaries.
In 1980–81 he produced two seasons of the syndicated series Tales of the Unexpected. He collaborated on six films with writer-director Larry Cohen, beginning with Q (1982), and produced and co-wrote the screenplay for the feature Key Exchange (1985).
Kurta produced the first season of Veronica Mars (2004–2005). His other credits include co-producer and second unit director on Empire Records (1995), producer on The Stuff (1985) and The Lost Room (2006), and executive producer on Hell on Wheels (2011–2016).
