Biography

Paul Schneider (4 August 1923 – 13 October 2008) was an American television screenwriter. Born in Passaic, New Jersey, he wrote for series from the 1950s to the 1980s. He is credited with two episodes of the original Star Trek series: "Balance of Terror" (1966) and "The Squire of Gothos" (1967). He also wrote the episode "The Terratin Incident" for Star Trek: The Animated Series (1973).

Schneider wrote for many other programmes, including How to Marry a Millionaire (1957–58), Bonanza (1965–67), Ironside (1969), Marcus Welby, M.D. (1969–74), The Six Million Dollar Man (1974–76) and Buck Rogers in the 25th Century (1981). He often collaborated with his wife, Margaret Schneider. His film credits include the story for 1001 Arabian Nights (1959) and the screenplay for Lapin 360 (1972).
