Biography
Paul Uhl was an American cinematographer and camera technician. He began his career in the late 1930s, working in the camera and electrical departments on feature films, including as a Technicolor film loader on Jesse James (1939) and assistant camera on The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956) and Vertigo (1958).
In the late 1960s Uhl moved into television, serving as director of photography on one episode of the series Mission: Impossible (1969). He later photographed numerous episodes of The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970–1974), Rhoda (1974–1975) and The Bob Newhart Show (1972–1978). Uhl was born on 17 June 1910 in Michigan and died on 23 December 2003 in Palm Desert, California.
