Biography
Paul Valentine (born William Daixel) was an American film and television actor. Born in New York City, he began his career at the age of 14 with the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo and later danced with the Fokine Ballet and Mordkin Ballet under the names Val Valentinoff and Vladimir Valentinov. He made his Broadway debut in 1937 in Virginia and appeared in theatre, nightclubs and television before entering films.
Valentine's screen debut came in 1947 as Joe Stephanos in Out of the Past. He appeared in House of Strangers (1949), Love Happy (1949) and Against All Odds (1984), the remake of Out of the Past. His career spanned 1947 to 1984. He was married to the performer Lili St. Cyr from 1946 until their divorce.
