Biography
Paul Weller is an English singer-songwriter, musician and actor. Born John William Weller on 25 May 1958 in Woking, Surrey, he is also known as the Modfather.
He first achieved fame in the late 1970s as guitarist, singer and songwriter with the band the Jam. After the group disbanded in 1982, he formed the Style Council with Mick Talbot. Weller began a solo career in the early 1990s.
His film acting debut came in 2024 as Gerald in Blitz, directed by Steve McQueen. He has also appeared as The Viking in an episode of Sherlock (2017) and as himself in Live Aid (1985).
