Biography
Paul Westerberg is an American musician, songwriter and composer. Born Paul Harold Westerberg on 31 December 1959 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he is best known as the lead singer, guitarist and principal songwriter of the alternative rock band The Replacements.
After the band's breakup he pursued a solo career, releasing albums including 14 Songs (1993). Westerberg composed the score and contributed songs to the soundtrack of the 1992 film Singles. He has additional credits as a composer on films such as Open Season (2006) and has made occasional acting appearances, primarily in music videos and one episode of the television series The Larry Sanders Show (1997).
