Biography

Paulina Lule, also credited as Paulina Bugembe and Paulina Lule Bugembe-Kuwahara, is an American actor, writer and director. They were born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and trained at the Joanne Baron/DW Brown Studio in Santa Monica and the Identity School of Acting in Los Angeles. They studied film directing and screenwriting at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and hold an MFA from Chapman University.

Lule is known for guest and recurring roles including Angélique in The Good Place (2017), Lilla McKenzie in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2020), Valerie Spencer in General Hospital (2019–2020) and Kimmer Madison-Garland in Emperor of Ocean Park (2024). Their film credits include Honey Boy (2019). They are married to Ren Kuwahara.
