Biography
Pedro Peirano is a Chilean screenwriter, director, journalist and cartoonist. He co-created the long-running satirical puppet television series 31 Minutos (2003), on which he also served as writer and director.
Peirano wrote the screenplay for the film No (2012), which received an Academy Award nomination for Best Foreign Language Film. His other screenwriting credits include The Maid (2009), Young and Wild (2012) and an episode of the series Perry Mason (2020). He has also worked as a script consultant on several films and received awards including the World Cinema Screenwriting Award at Sundance.
