Biography
Pete McCowen is a cinematographer and camera operator who has worked on numerous wildlife and nature documentaries. He contributed to the cinematography of the BBC series Planet Earth II (2016) and appeared as Self - Cameraman in the production. He is also credited as Self in the 2009 series South Pacific.
McCowen has worked on other series including Hostile Planet (2019), Seven Worlds, One Planet (2019) and A Year on Planet Earth (2022). He has received a Primetime Emmy Award.
