Biography

Peter Andersson is a Swedish actor. Born Ulf Harry Peter Andersson on 12 February 1953 in Gothenburg, he trained at the Academy of Music and Drama there, graduating in 1977.

He has worked extensively in theatre, including at Dramaten, and in film and television since the 1980s. Andersson is known for his role as Nils Bjurman in the Millennium trilogy films The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2009), The Girl Who Played with Fire (2009) and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (2009), as well as Vidar in Underworld: Blood Wars (2016). Other credits include Pusher (1996) and Flickering Lights (2000).

He has received several awards and nominations, including a Kristallen award in 2015 and the Litteris et Artibus medal in 2019.
