Biography
Peter Atencio is an American television and film director and producer. He directed and produced every episode of the sketch comedy series Key & Peele (2012–2015), for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award as co-executive producer, as well as a Peabody Award and an American Comedy Award.
Atencio directed the action comedy feature Keanu (2016), starring Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele. His other directing credits include episodes of The Last Man on Earth (2015), Jean-Claude Van Johnson (2016), Whiskey Cavalier (2019), The Twilight Zone (2020) and The Afterparty (2022), and the features The Machine (2023) and the forthcoming Animal Friends (2027).
