Biography
Peter Avanzino is an American animation director. He began his career in the early 1990s as a storyboard artist on The Simpsons before moving to directing roles on series including The Ren & Stimpy Show, Duckman and The Wild Thornberrys.
Since joining Rough Draft Studios in 1998, Avanzino has directed numerous episodes of Futurama (from 1999) and served as supervising director on later seasons as well as on Disenchantment (2018–2023). He has also directed episodes of Drawn Together and Sit Down, Shut Up, and the 2014 special How Murray Saved Christmas. He received a Primetime Emmy Award for his work on Futurama.
