Biography
Peter Batten was a British actor. He provided the voice of George Harrison for approximately the first half of the 1968 animated film Yellow Submarine, though he was uncredited. Director George Dunning cast him after overhearing him speak in a Liverpudlian accent in a London pub, despite Batten having no prior acting experience. Halfway through recording, Batten was arrested as a deserter from the British Army of the Rhine; his remaining lines were completed by Paul Angelis.
