Biography
Peter Boretski, born Peter Perehinczuk, was a Canadian actor. A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, he began his career with the Manitoba Theatre Centre and the Stratford Festival. He appeared in a 1956 Broadway production of Tamburlaine the Great and later worked in the United Kingdom, where he adopted his mother's maiden name Boretski professionally. He returned to Canada in the early 1960s.
Boretski was best known for his recurring role as Jack Soble in the sitcom King of Kensington (1970s). His film and television credits include The Nutcracker Prince (1990), F/X2 (1991), Naked Lunch (1991) as Creature Voices / Exterminator #2, Goosebumps (1995) as Grandpa Eddie, Harrison Bergeron (1995) and The Outer Limits (1995) as Leon Zgierski. He also directed episodes of series such as Festival. He was married to actress Jennifer Phipps and was the father of actor Paul Boretski. He died in Toronto, Ontario, in 2001.
