Biography
Peter Cheung Yiu-Chung, also credited as Peter Cheung, Cheung Yiu-Chung, Chang Yao-Chung and Peter Chung, was a Hong Kong film editor. He began his career in 1963 at the Motion Picture and General Investment Co. Ltd (MP&GI), where he trained in editing, and later joined Golden Harvest when it took over the studios in 1971.
Cheung edited more than 200 films over nearly four decades, including Enter the Dragon (1973), Fist of Fury (1972), The Way of the Dragon (1972), Project A (1983), Police Story (1985), Rumble in the Bronx (1995) and Center Stage (1991). He received the Golden Horse Award for Best Film Editing nine times.
He left Golden Harvest at the end of the 1990s and died in 2023.
