Biography
Peter Croft is a Canadian rock climber and mountaineer. Born on 18 May 1958 in Nanaimo, British Columbia, he has focused much of his career on big routes in Yosemite National Park, Squamish and the High Sierra.
He is known for pioneering free solo ascents, including the first free solo link-up of Astroman and The Rostrum in a single day in 1987. Croft received the American Alpine Club's Robert & Miriam Underhill Award in 1991. He appears as himself in the 2018 documentary Free Solo.
