Biography
Peter Ellis was a British television director. Born in London on 28 January 1948, he began his career at Granada Television on their Director's Course before moving to Hollywood in the late 1980s.
He directed episodes of numerous series, including Bergerac (1981), Falcon Crest (1981), The Optimist (1983), Highlander: The Series (1992), Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (1993), Hercules: The Legendary Journeys (1995), Sliders (1995), Roswell (1999), Third Watch (1999), NCIS (2003), Criminal Minds (2005), Supernatural (2005–2006) and Smallville (2001). He also wrote several episodes of The Optimist. Ellis died in Los Angeles on 24 April 2006; one episode of Supernatural was dedicated to his memory.
His brothers, Robin Ellis and Jack Ellis, are actors.
