Biography
Peter Ivers was an American composer, musician and songwriter. Born in Illinois on 20 September 1946, he studied classical languages at Harvard University before moving to Los Angeles and pursuing a career in music. He released albums including Terminal Love (1974) and performed as a harmonica player.
Ivers scored the David Lynch film Eraserhead (1977), composing the music and singing on the track "In Heaven (Lady in the Radiator Song)". He also composed the score for Grand Theft Auto (1977). In the early 1980s he hosted the cable television series New Wave Theatre.
Ivers died in Los Angeles on 3 March 1983.
