Biography
Peter Kwong (1952–2025) was an American actor known for his roles in film and television. He played Rain, one of the Three Storms, in John Carpenter’s Big Trouble in Little China (1986) and appeared as Tommy Tong in The Golden Child (1986).
Kwong began his screen career in the mid-1970s with guest roles on series including Wonder Woman, The A-Team, Miami Vice and MacGyver. Later television credits included Full House, Drake & Josh, Lethal Weapon and a voice role on King of the Hill. Film work also encompassed Gleaming the Cube (1989), Cooties (2014) and others.
He trained with the East/West Players and the Groundlings, and was an accomplished martial artist. Kwong served on the SAG National Board of Directors for more than a decade, the AFTRA National Board of Directors and the Television Academy Board of Governors.
