Biography
Peter Lance is an American writer, journalist and author. He began his career as a reporter for his hometown paper, the Newport Daily News, before earning an M.S. from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. He worked as a producer and correspondent for WNET and ABC News, winning five Emmy Awards for investigative reporting.
In 1987 Lance moved into screenwriting, serving as a writer and story editor on Miami Vice and Crime Story. He later became show runner on Wiseguy, co-created the series Missing Persons, and worked as a writer and producer on JAG and The Sentinel. He has also written novels, including the best-seller First Degree Burn, and non-fiction books on organised crime and terrorism.
