Biography
Peter Salem is a British composer for film, television, theatre and ballet. He composed the main theme and incidental music for the first four series of the BBC drama Call the Midwife (2012), and his theme has remained in use.
His other screen credits include the television films Cider with Rosie (2015) and Five Daughters (2010), the series The Vice (2000–2003) and the feature The Other Boleyn Girl (2003). He has written scores for productions by the Royal Shakespeare Company, the National Theatre and Shared Experience, and for ballet companies including English National Ballet and Atlanta Ballet.
