Biography
Peter Silverman is a writer whose credits include work on the television series Moonlighting (1985) and Hill Street Blues (1983–1987). He contributed as a writer to one episode of Moonlighting and served as story editor and writer on multiple episodes of Hill Street Blues.
His later credits encompass several television films, including Something the Lord Made (2004), Harlan County War (2000), Hidden in America (1996) and For the Love of Aaron (1994). He received story and screenplay credit on the feature film American Heart (1992) and is credited with the novel on which it was based. Silverman was nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards, for writing on Hill Street Blues (1984) and Something the Lord Made (2004), and won a Writers Guild of America Award for the latter.
